"Are you sure?, have you got the cards yet?, Did you finish biometrics?" Some eb3 folks said "We will get ours too, some issue with finger prints , my husband's boss is very close to the congressman and we have influence in INS", some say "Your lawyer did some magic" etc.....
People carry such mindsets, it is difficult to bring about awareness and change.

agree, it cannot be really changed by us. even if people willingly try to achieve a new mindset with positive programming, it takes months to achieve.
Guess we have to work with what we have. There may be a solution, but only people with a similar mindset can come up with it.

Yes .. you can start a company on h1 ..
but as per h1 laws .. you can only work for your employer
So essentially you cannot do any work for your company .. no soliciting business, HR .. nothing.
So what you do is partner with someone who is on GC .. so you can get work done .. or hire employees for everything.

This is a neat idea to draw worthwhile attention which at the same time won't cause any hatred. I'm sure most of us would like to act upon this.
Can one of core members talk to a florist and workout some kind of arrangement where if we call them and give a code and payment they would process the order with a pre-set message and delivery address. I'm sure we will have a large participation if we make the process simple for the mass.
Also make this a front page message.

we got I-140 and I-485 approval email on August 19th; Card production ordered email on August 21st; got the physical approvals and cards in the mail on August 25th - whole thing took a week.

Don't know why my file is still pending (RD 6/18), present EAD expiring in 2 weeks..:)
My EAD renewal is pending as well - RD 6/18 - present EAD expiring on 9/25. I requested expediting processing on 8/13 and received a letter yesterday saying they are reviewing my request and will have a decision in 60 days : :rolleyes:

My current employer is not willing to provide copy of I-140. I got EAD in 2nd week of October 2007. Can I change job using AC21 without copy of I-140 from current employer. What are the documents I need to change job using AC 21? Thanks in advance for your replies
Who filed your AOS? Your I-485 filing has to include an approved copy of I-140 and LC. Since I-485 is your filing, you can ask the attorney to give you a full copy of the filing (including I-140 and LC).

thanks indigokiwi. The deadline is end of March, but we would like a large amount of this raised much earlier, since it involves making reservations, booking appointments, for Eg. with the lobbyist.

Yup, kshitijnt you are right on target, we need to do some thing constructive and let our voices heard.
BECSufferer made it right heading...channel your anger.
My intention was more to think in right way and discourage potential -ve result bound strategies.
During presidential campaign there were all over promises on clearing backlogs, we can go on that basis and make a point of that.
One thing is clear if they like to stop outsourcing sure they have to encourage and stream line legal immigration they cannot stop or survive but cutting outsourcing as well leaving this legal immigration in limbo.
Besides what we can do at this juncture, keep our voices heard by contacting, writing letters.
1. In a world leading country processing a decade back applications is not an encouraging trend to legal immigration, this may send a wrong signal to legal immigration over illegal immigration.
2. Can highlight ecomonic point based on these math...
Ex: 500,000 EB backlog persons contribution to the country, social taxes = xxx, medicare = xxx, travel=xxx, housing =xxx.

Most of us filed in July but had our cases transfered to TSC later. For example, I filed July 12 @ NSC and the receipt was generated on Sept 10 from TSC. I know of others with ND Sept 10 @ TSC who didn't receive FP notices, including coworkers of mine. It looks like someone at TSC took a few shortcuts during the receipting process.
My frustration comes from the fact that I've called three times and opened SRs but still nothing. I don't see how someone can honestly screw up three times and fail to schedule a simple FP appointment. If this is such a huge task for them you can imagine how the entire process is handled and why we 're all stuck waiting for name checks, priority dates, processing dates, biometrics appointments, extended reviews, and the rest of the crap...
By now you should have had your EAD and AP in hand - after FP was done. What was the reason for the delay? Most of these cases got FP notices within 4 weeks of Aug 17th.

Well there is a lot of media attention already. I've been talking to so many reporters and there was a huge interest in the event.
Tomorrow, there will be a bunch of media people at USCIS to talk about this, yet in the entire DC area, only nixstor is available to go to USCIS.
How can we expect major media to cover us when we are not willing to participate in something that is of benefit to us?

Hi Mehul,
We are praying for you. Do not loose hope. God has taken you this far and nothing is impossible for HIM.
I have known quite a few people who have been cancer survivors, some have gone through treatment and in some cases without treatment, it just went away. Like I said, don't loose hope. Try out the options that a lot of the folks have suggested on this forum and continue praying.
