We will each individually send flowers to Emilio Gonzalez to be delivered July 10th. There is a suggestion to use a paypal account where we contribute money. However no one has come forward to take over the account so far.

Listen, everyone is frustrated but to take your lives for a GC is crazy. If you guys are so depressed please seek medical help. If you have kids they will be US citizens they can sponsor you 18 years later so why are you that frustrated. When your wife is on H4 that is the best time to have kids because she is at home and you don't have to pay daycare. It is the woman in H1B that my sympathies are with bc they cannot go part-time or get more that 6 week maternity leave. So please buckle up or seek help, I don�t think your logic makes sense.
I and my wife have been SCREAMING, FIGHTING for over four years now. We are now so frustrated that we have EVEN DISCUSSED THINGS LIKE TAKING UP OUR LIVES !!! I really mean it. For both of us, our career is the single most important thing.
We had decided to wait for our next step in life like having a kid or putting in a big investment till we both at least have a job. Inspite of both of us having Masters degress from US universities, we are both suffering - me languishing in a filthy job and my wife on H4 - for the past 5 years !!! She is now more than 35 making it difficult to have kids etc...
I don't have the choice of going back to my home country due to many other personal reasons. I just don't know what to do... I am losing my sanity.

We have explained you during the phone conversation that it is not the right time to pick up country limits issue. We have run this by our strategist again and they have also advised us that its not the right time for this issue. Others on the forum, including unitednations, have also made an attempt to explain you the issues we are all dealing with. You are free to do whatever you think is best for you. We think that your actions are likely to harm the community effort. So in the best interest of the community effort, please be cautioned that we will be forced to ban you from this site if you continue this on the forum.

I got my receipts by mail on monday and checks cashed last friday. But my wifes did not clear yet. any one in similar situation please post.
My one set of checks cleared last friday & other set yet to be cleared. That might be for me or wife, no idea. So I'm waiting.
How are you so sure that your case checks were cashed & not your wife's just curious.

My infopass appointment was pretty quick. I guess it lasted for only 5 to 7 mins. I opened an SR in the month of September however I never received SR response letter from USCIS which they said they have sent me in the last week of October so I didn't have any SR letter to show him. I carried only receipts for 485,765 and 131 for myself and my wife. I asked IO that it's been more than 90 days since I received receipts for employment based 485 and haven't received FP yet. He asked me for Photo Id and receipts for myself and my wife. Then he asked whether I received work authorization (765) and travel document (131) or not. Then he entered our information (receipt no and confirmed my address as well as my attorney's address) and was searching something in his machine and said I will get my FP soon. I asked him is there any time line? He said within 3 weeks. That's it. He said they have received many applications in the month of July and Aug and that's why they are lagging. I guess this is it. I was out of USCIS office within 10 mins.

GC Visa's are per country per year, where as H1's are not per country based, we indians used most H1's and stood in queue for GC's of course there is path so we stood, in fact it is one attraction they used to bring over here, to start with, per country GC visa limit is a poor thought.
GC quota should be better tied to H1 quota or raise the limit and god knows when did they put the numbers per country GC, before H1b program or after H1b program.
H1b program allowed hundred's of thousands to come in, in fact which they encouraged i can dare to say and GC visa count is not according to that and they let all these families to stay in limbo or wait forever is not a good sign.
Irony is majority of these folks are purposed to solve or improve all kinds of problems ranging from improving enterprise's response time from months to minutes or minutes to secs and other kinds improvements, who's families and them selves stuck in a decade long "legal immigration" battle of their life.

My Checks are encased on Saturday 09/15th. My Applications received nebraska on July 20th. Since My I-140 is from Texas, the case transferred to Texas.
Just Checks are cashed, not yet recieved any Receipt Notices yet.

I feel that even if the SKIL bill passes, there will be another bill in a couple of years to bring down the number of H1s. That is because, the American public will raise their voice.

My EAD renewal is pending as well - RD 6/18 - present EAD expiring on 9/25. I requested expediting processing on 8/13 and received a letter yesterday saying they are reviewing my request and will have a decision in 60 days : :rolleyes:
We CANNOT do any thing, when I called USCIS, IO said they can't do either.. wait for 60 days. BS
sparklinks - I got card production ordered email today and LUD on EAD cases online. I sent a request for inquiry thru immigration staff of my Senator (Sen. Kennedy - MA) three days ago. Not sure if that had any role to play in EAD approval.
Check your status and update as our cases were identical. I'll update details of duration of EAD renewal when I get physical cards.

One of my friend got "Card Production Ordered" email. He is EB2-I, PD Jan 2006, RD- Sep 30 2007, NSC.
Mine is Dec 2005 and still waiting. So what is going on with NSC? Are they also doing the same thing that TSC is doing? latest cases first?
