I told them it�s almost one a month, I didn�t get my card yet. Then they gave me a token number and when my turn came. I met the USCIS officer he wasn�t much help at all. he just gave me 551 stamp for 1yr and when I asked him about biometric he said last year I took in Oct-07 its good till next month and I don�t need it.
I was expecting 551 stamp look like h1 visa stamp, but it�s just an ordinary stamp.
After coming home I called USCIS asked them about the card. She told me that card was sent out for production today and I should get it within 1 week to 30 days. Because it was sent out today that�s the reason I didn�t get the email update

My current employer is not willing to provide copy of I-140. I got EAD in 2nd week of October 2007. Can I change job using AC21 without copy of I-140 from current employer. What are the documents I need to change job using AC 21? Thanks in advance for your replies
Who filed your AOS? Your I-485 filing has to include an approved copy of I-140 and LC. Since I-485 is your filing, you can ask the attorney to give you a full copy of the filing (including I-140 and LC).

If its TSC then I do not think it will help at all. Whenever I talk to IO their only response if they are waiting for availability at local ASC.

My case is similar to yours: dates, TSC, received EAD before receipts, don't know who paid the checks, etc.
I inquired my attorney and they sent me the receipts. Ask them, they would have received it already.

My I-485 and EAD applications were delivered on July 18th at the TSC. Since then, I have not heard from USCIS until this evening, when to my delight, I received the EAD card in my mailbox!
May I know if the EAD receipt # is the same as the I-485 receipt number? I tried to check my case status online with the receipt # on my EAD card but the only information I could see was for Form I-765. Could somebody please clarify this?

Also, she issued her own firm's checks to USCIS for the filing of these documents so I don't know if the checks were cashed (and therefore, cannot check for the receipt notice on the back of the check). Just by becoming depressed the process will not get expedited..The process will take its own time so just forget and pray and enjoy your life.Life is much more than GC and getting depressed just for it and not sensical.It is not a life and death matter.Make your and dont spread it to your family...

The rule should be if I140 for porting is denied then the applicatnt should loose his/her initial EB3 priority date also as he /she has indicated that he/she is no longer working in the position as described in EB3 labor. This will make sure that fradulent applicants cannot port from EB3 to EB2.
P.S: I know I will get thousands of REDs. I do not care... EB2 I guys wake up.. Time is running out.. EB2 I will very quickly become same as EB3I.

I am also like many others, suffering from GC related depression. After reading the posts, now I feel more comfortable that I am not alone:)
Two steps I wish to take: (1) Not to think about getting GC any more. Whether I am anxious or not, it will take its own time and let me develop the habit of patiently waiting (2) Have a back-up plan ready.

This section specifies anyone caught in the backlog would be able to pay $500 to adjust status... So your husband is ok (again, should this SKIL ever become reality)
However, I am confused this section 205 falls into Title II, "Retaining Foreign Workers Educated in the United States". Section 205 does not read like anything to do with a degree in the US..

If I know for sure that I will only get GC after a decade or so, I might as well go back. With 3300 visas for EB3-I, one decade for the PD to reach 2004/2005 seems very likely.
There are still lots of cases in eb3 from back that far.
Many of the eb3 245i cases; there dependents were outside USA. Once; they got greencards; then their dependents went for consular processing or are going for consular processing.
One of the cases I worked on ability to pay; person had adopted her nephew so that he could get greencard as dependent. You couldn't even begin to imagine how many cases like this there are.

I send a letter to senator Gregg(NH) Last week about July Visa Bulletin reversal by DOS and how its going to affect all individuals who filed their 485 based on original Visa Bulletin published by DOS.
I Just got a call from Senator's office. He is sending a letter to DOS today or tomorrow asking about July Visa Bulletin reversal.
I will post DOS reply as soon as I hear back from senator's office.
Moral of the story is time for action when iron is hot.
